SEEKING DANCERS/PERFORMERS FOR CHOREOGRAPHED ABSTRACT DANCE SEQUENCE FOR UPCOMING FEATURE FILM by AMIEL COURTIN-WILSON – “The Empyrean”
All ages, genders, body types, and experience levels are encouraged to apply. Couples or creative partners are preferred but not essential. Some aspects of the performance may require nudity. This is negotiated with the Director personally on the day.
ABOUT THE FILM:
The Empyrean is the upcoming feature film by award-winning director Amiel Courtin-Wilson (Bastardy 2008, Hail 2011, Ruin 2013). This multi-character ensemble piece is a beautifully delicate series of interconnected portraits of young love in Oklahoma. Due for festival release late-2017.
ABOUT THE PART:
Successful applicants will be part of an abstract dance sequence. The scene involves slow-motion abstraction of the human form, performed in pairs. The sequence will be filmed in silhouette and edited to emphasise the rhythmic abstraction of the human form. Pairs will perform symmetrical choreographed movement. Please see reference images below.
