This is a warm, funny, entertaining story about the lives and loves of a group of women (and one man) attending a weekly tap class in a church hall. The play culminates in a charity show performance of triumphant tappers.

The play will require an extensive tap dancing rehearsal period.

Mavis – tap teacher, ex-professional dancer ( 30+) – confident and competent
Dorothy – 30+ timid
Lynne – young, 20+ – attentive, serious about dancing
Mrs Fraser – the pianist ( music can be recorded however if anyone is interested who can play the piano well – please come along!) Any age – meant to be in 50’s

Andy (female) – 30+, – plain do-gooder with no confidence
Geoffrey – 40+ – shy – also plays the piano
